A recent client sought to expand their single-family home through a contemporary, design-forward renovation. Their primary goal was to increase usable square footage, with an open mind toward the final program. Initial ideas ranged from a studio office to a master bathroom suite, which became the focus of the first study. A restrained material palette fosters tranquility amidst suburban busyness. The bathroom features a glass roof that floods the space with daylight and frames views of the surrounding tree canopy, complemented by natural stone floors, marble accents, and a sliding window for enhanced ventilation and connection to the outdoors.
